Many people revoke getting online/e-commentaries because they are difficult to use. However, Christian Apps LLC has developed some beautiful, clean, and easy to use commentary apps to help us in studying Scripture carefully alongside John Calvin, and now Matthew Henry. This app hosts Henrys entire commentary on the Bible, and I must say I am impressed with how clean this app is. Its not cluttered or difficult to read. Everything is smooth, and the ease of use is second to none. Not to mention, Henrys works are helpful to the theologian and the layman alike. Great work on this app. If you use or would like to use Henrys works in your Bible study or sermon prep, you cannot miss this app!

To have the words of Matthew Henry at your fingertips is amazing and a blessing. I recommend this app to all those who want to be enriched in their spiritual life. The only thing that I would suggest is for the chapters to be divided so that the scrolling is not so long. Also, a "word search" option would be an excellent upgrade.

Great biblical commentary app that compliments the John Calvin app wonderfully. In the past I have used the web based MHC for commentary on the bible. Now with this app, I have the same content available on my phone whenever I want it. This is a must have commentary app!

Love the audio part of this app! Could you update John Calvins commentary with audio as well?

Really sweet app! Very fluid functionality. And of course...awesome commentary.

I like the audio feature of the app. The commentary is great. I had a hard time finding the audio feature. You have to tap twice on the bottom of the screen to get the speaker to appear. To stop the audio tap the book which also appears next to the speaker.

The voice is distracting. Why did you not use a human to read this instead. The digital voice is monotone and does not know how to effectively read the reference numbers. It is hard to get past that for me. I wasted my money on this one!!!

I love having Matthew Henry commentary in an app! I own all of His books but not always by them. This makes it super convenient to have my time with God and in-depth studying wherever I am. Im really a fan of His commentary also because He explains and breaks down the verses throughly to easily understand.

This app is fantastic, it helps me every day better understand the meaning of Scripture during my Bible studies! Thank you :)

I cant listen to the electronic voice. Why would you not use a real voice?! I wasted my money.

I bought this app and it will not open on my iPad. Tried everything and it crashes before it opens every time I attempt.

This is a great app and resource to be able to have with you all the time. I appreciate the audio feature very much as I am in my vehicle a good deal and can listen while I drive.

Great commentary but I expected the audio to be accurate. When using audio, since it is Siri, there isnt accuracy in the wording. When the abbreviation for Genesis (i.e. Gen. 15:21) is given, it says "general, 15 hours and 21 minutes. If you were only listening and not following along, this could be very confusing. Other than that, the app is great.

I downloaded this as soon as I saw it was released! I have the John Calvin Commentary app this developer has previously put out as well. This app has both great content & ease of use. I look forward having this as a resource for a long time.

I have been using this app and commentary for a short time but have gotten so much from it. Highly recommended!!

I bought this app specifically so that it would read to me while driving in the car. The voice is very unpleasant and impossible to listen to. Please change the voice. That is why I gave it 3 stars.
